Welcome to the home of the Manchester Panther Basketball Program.
Manchester High School is located in Akron, Ohio. The Panthers are a Division III school who participate in the Principals Athletic Conference (PAC 7). Dating back to teams coached by Bernie Conley in the late 1960's and early 1970's, the Panther tradition has included many wins by many great teams with many great players, including a State Championship in 1974. Many of the players through the years learned at an early age about the tradition of Manchester basketball. Tradition is a very big buzz word around the Manchester community. Parents who have been part of the community and basketball program have raised their children to be part of the same. This has continued for the past 22 seasons under current head coach Gene Schindewolf.
Whether you are on this website to check out information on the current edition of the Panthers, or past records, or are just a basketball fan who loves to browse basketball sites, we hope you enjoy your time on our site. Hopefully it will bring some fond memories of Panther players and teams from the past, or will teach you some things you may not have known. One thing is for sure, Manchester basketball is a tradition to uphold.
